This took Anders the better part of a month but it is around two weeks until Dr Swenson appears back in Manaus for the opening night of the opera (of all things) and more supplies. From there she has to wait at Swenson’s base in the city of Manaus until the two Australian’s guarding Swenson’s apartment, mail and location, see fit to confide in Marina where precisely Dr Swenson is. But feeling pressured into it and apparently unable to say no, she packs her bags and flies down to Brazil. Marina is unhappy about this – after all the last person Vogel sent down there died. Vogel and Anders’ wife are reluctant to accept this and Vogel’s CEO Mr Fox asks Marina to go down there and track down Swenson and find out what really happened to Anders and also, where Swenson is at in her research.

Anders was gone for some time attempting to track her down and after correspondence from him dwindled they received a letter in Minnesota from Swenson herself saying he had died of a fever and had been buried in the Amazon according to his Christian traditions. Swenson is researching fertility longevity in a certain tribe in the deepest part of the Amazon and is un-contactable and the parent company Vogel want to know where she’s at in her research and how far they are away from a prototype to go to the FDA.

Her research partner Anders was sent on a mission to the Amazon by the company to track down its errant scientist, Dr Annick Swenson. Marina Singh is a 42 year old pharmacologist working for a pharmaceutical company in Minnesota, her focus being on cholesterol.
